Terms of Service

These terms apply to the MoiPin app and its read-only web viewer. MoiPin is a personal service that lets families and small groups share their location with one another, and it is free for now.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using MoiPin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

  • MoiPin lets members of the same group see each other's latest location on a map, and receive alerts such as arrival/departure at saved places and low-battery notices.
  • It is currently operated as a non-commercial, personal service and is free (intended to remain free for about a year after public release). We will give notice if this changes.
  • The service is a convenience feature for reference only. It is not designed for emergency, safety, medical, or law-enforcement use, and must not be relied upon for any life-critical purpose.

3. Accounts

  • Accounts are created with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account and devices secure.
  • MoiPin is not directed to children under 13. Minors may use the service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Nature of Location Sharing

  • Location sharing starts only when you turn it on, and you can stop it anytime with Ghost Mode.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or continuity of location information. It may be delayed or unavailable depending on device, network, OS, and battery conditions. Every displayed location is shown together with when it was measured ("N minutes ago").
  • Who can see which location is enforced by the server's access control.

5. Your Obligations and Prohibited Use

  • You must comply with applicable law. In particular, you must not use the service to collect or monitor another person's location without their knowledge and consent.
  • Impersonation, and use of the service for stalking, harassment, or unlawful tracking, are prohibited.
  • You must not disrupt the service or attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineering, or automated scraping.
  • Violations may result in restriction, suspension, or termination of your account.

6. Intellectual Property

Rights in MoiPin and its trademarks, software, and content belong to the operator or their rightful owners. Data you enter (groups, places, etc.) remains yours and is processed only as needed to provide the service.

7. Changes and Discontinuation

MoiPin is a personally operated project; features may change, be added, or be discontinued. We may suspend all or part of the service for good cause, giving advance notice where practicable.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is." The operator makes no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from error.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service or from inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable location information, taking into account that the service is provided free of charge.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are handled by the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

If these terms change, we will post the updated terms and effective date on this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
